Raymond W. "Ray" Magruder, age 73, of Winfield, Missouri passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017 in Winfield, Missouri. He was born in Piedmont, Missouri on February 21, 1944 to John and Ruth Magruder (nee Snyder).
Ray was a graduate of Shelbina High School, a Highway Patrolman with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, retiring May 2001 after 34 years of service. He was a member of the Holts Summit Lions Club and enjoyed gambling, flea market, buying/selling guns, hunting and fishing. On May 11, 2005 Ray married the former Karen Garcia in Las Vegas, NV.
Ray is survived by his wife, Karen of Winfield, MO; a son, David (Alesia) Magruder of Decaturville, TN, Daughters, Tammy (Dale) Jackson of Yulee, FL, and Stephanie (Donnie) Hardin, both of Yulee, FL, a daughter, Michelle (Corey) Dawson of Russellville, MO, and a son, William Schaberg of Hazelwood, MO. His brother, Michael (Stacy) Magruder of Shelbina, MO; 10 grandchildren: Jeffery Klote, Shyanne Magruder, Taylor Magruder, Alexandria Townsend, Laura Jackson, D. J. Hardin, Dylan Hardin, Courtney Dawson, Ashley Dawson and Cole Dawson; along with four great-grandchildren: Jeremiah, Isaiah, Adalina and Marlee.
A Gathering in Celebration of Ray's Life will be 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376.
