Rev. Floyd D. Aldrich, age 86, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 in St. Charles, Missouri. He was born in Posey County, Indiana on July 9, 1931 to the late Raymond and Pearl Aldrich (nee Coleman).
Floyd was an Ordained Minister of the Church of God (Cleveland, TN) for 60 years. Rev. Aldrich was the pastor of 8 churches throughout the state of Illinois during his ministry. After retirement he continued his ministry as a guest speaker for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, his church family and reading his Bible. He loved life and never met a stranger. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking, walking, playing jokes on his children and was a avid Cardinal fan.
Floyd is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Doris " BJ" Aldrich; his daughters, Sue A. (Mike) Smith, Patty A. (Ray) Heininger and Vicky L. (George German) Aldrich; grandchildren, JoEllen (Jon) Carey, Matthew E (Breann) Heininger, Nathan A. (Molly) Heininger, Caitlyn R. (Nathan) Blessman, Benjamin T (Mary Belzer) Simorka, Jacob D. Simorka, Meghan K. Simorka, Randy M. (Jessica) Smith and Kevin B. (Jess) Smith; great-grandchildren, Dylen Yeargin, Jack Carey, Lola Heininger, Jade Smith, Kallen Smith, Logan Smith, Aaliyah Smith and Addisyn Smith; sisters, Flora D. (late Buddy) Crayne and Barbara Jean (Ralph) Schlarb and a host of nephews, nieces, other family members, church members and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter and son-in-law, Kathy E. (Joe) Martin and 18 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 10:00-12:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr. St. Peters, MO 63376. Funeral Ceremony will be 12:00 pm Saturday, April 21, 2018 837 at Newcomer funeral home St. Peters, Missouri with Minister Brian Mixon and Minister Keith Moore officiating. Interment will follow the funeral ceremony at Oak Grove Cemetery 2700 West Clay St. Charles, MO 63301.
