Richard Kelly Brendle, age 56, of Moscow Mills, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, December 20th, 2022, in his home accompanied by loved ones after courageously battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer for over three years. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 28th, 1966, to Colin Parks & Donna Harris.
Rich attended McCluer North High School in Florissant, Missouri. He was a truck driver for most of his life, spending 27 years driving for Schnucks, during which he was an active union member and eventually steward of the Teamsters Local 610.
He was also an avid hunter, fisherman, and all-around outdoorsman. He loved spending as much time outdoors as possible and especially enjoyed bringing his children and grandchildren along with him to instill that same love of nature in them.
Rich is survived by his sister, Jewel (Steve) Wacker, and his children: Brett (Liz) Brendle, Danielle Brendle, Andrea (Justin) Kloppenburg, Richard "Kenny" (Melissa) Brendle, and James Brendle. He was a loving grandfather and is survived by his 11 grandchildren: Elizabeth, Jazmine, Kaidynce, Julian, Gemma, Opal, Rocky, London, Richard "Zane", Everleigh, and Lance. He is also survived by a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Brendle and Donna Metcalf, his stepfather, Ben Metcalf, and his brother, Vincent Brendle.
Rich was appreciative of all who lent him a helping hand throughout life. During his final years, he was incredibly thankful for all the support he received from friends and family: Sheila Mueller, Ed Harris, Terry Colbert, Maria Gholson, and Rick Schade.
Rich will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his two beloved beagles, Ranger and Snoopy, who were always by his side.
In honor of Richard's wishes, there will be no funeral services. Please send donations in his name to the Missouri Hunting Heritage Federation.
