Richard Courtney

Richard Allen "Ricky" Courtney, age 62, of St. Peters, MO went home on Thursday, September 7, 2023. Rick was born in St. Louis County, Missouri on February 11, 1961 to the late Otto Eugene Courtney and the late Janice Courtney (nee Harms). Rick was married to his beloved wife, Julie Courtney, for 20 years.

Ricky was a loving husband, dear brother to Karen Courtney, David Courtney, Sharon Wehmeier (nee Courtney) and the late Jay Wehmeier, Kelley (Bonnie Cary) Courtney. Loving Uncle, Nephew, Cousin, Godfather, Godson, and Friend to many. Ricky grew up in Florissant, Missouri. He attended Hazelwood Central High School and North County Tech. Richard worked in the grocery business for Kroger then National, UFCW Local 655 for 18 years. Rick then decided to pursue cabinet making. He graduated from trade school and later became a Journeyman Cabinet Maker with the Carpenter's District Council. After 18 years as a cabinet maker with Crescent Planing Mill, Ricky went on to work at General Motors in Wentzville for 5 years. Throughout his life, you could find Rick enjoying the outdoors: hunting, fishing, gardening, bowling, riding his motorcycle, and watching a Western. He also enjoyed tinkering in his garage, repairing small motors, and taking things apart, fixing them, and putting them back together. Ricky and Julie had many dogs and cats through out the years. All that knew Ricky, will remember his quick wit, great sense of humor, infectious smile, and loving nature.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 6:00 pm, all on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376.
