Richard L. Ferguson, age 92, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 in St. Charles, Missouri. He was born in Clayton, Missouri on October 29, 1925 to Alonzo and Elsie Ferguson (nee Meckel).
Richard is survived by his daughter: Susan (Robert) Green, granddaughters: Nicki (Eric) Joseph and Haley Goebel, great grandchildren: Justin and Sophie Joseph, step sons: Dan (Janet) Hughes, John (Janet) Hughes and Dave (Jackie) Hughes and many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, sister: Charlotte Buchholz and sister in law: Darlene Ferguson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife: Marie (nee Tomlin) Ferguson, his second wife: Helen (nee Seeley) Ferguson, daughter: Jeanne Halbrook, grandson: John Halbrook and step daughter: Janet Brendel, brother: Paul Ferguson and sister: Mary Kleppen.
Richard served over 37 years in the Coast Guard and the Coast Guard Reserve including 24 years as a Chief Petty Officer. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, husband and dedicated friend.
Memorial Ceremony will be 5:00 pm Friday, June 8, 2018 at Newcomer St. Peters Chapel, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376 with Bob Ingle officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Newcomer St. Peters Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 4215 Lindell Blvd. Saint Louis, MO 63108. Interment will be private.
