Richard Keith Haney

Richard Keith Haney, age 62, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022. He was born in Normandy, Missouri on July 10, 1959 to Joseph and Melba Haney (nee Strain).

Rich is survived by his mother, Melba Haney; brothers, Stephen (Darlene) Haney and Dave (Tammy) Haney; nephews and niece, Jim (Madeleine) Haney, Lisa Haney, Joe Haney, and Nick Haney. Also survived by a host of other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Haney.

Rich was a very beloved son and brother in the Haney family. He was an avid Cardinal baseball fan for many years. He loved playing games like scrabble, croquet, and ping pong, in which he was very competitive. In middle school and high school, he played the alto saxophone, and he excelled at it. In fact, he was the best saxophonist in the band. He could play by ear, and he did so in church every Sunday. Rich also had compassion for the elderly. He was a security guard for 15 years at the St. Paul assisted living complex in the Sarah Community, where he could be of physical assistance to seniors. He devoted many years of his life to caring for his friend, Nora, who had suffered from a stroke. He will be greatly missed.
