Richard John Kennedy, age 80, of Washington, Missouri passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024 He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 18, 1944 to Jack Kennedy and Dorothy Gutermuth (nee Crump).

Richard (Rich) was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman. He built his life around his love for horses and nature. He was a master leather worker with unparalleled skills. His attention to detail and creative artistry also flowed into woodworking and jewelry making. Rich's love of Native American culture could be seen in everything he created. He was a genuine cowboy having worked and lived on multiple ranches. He loved telling stories and sharing memories of his past with family and friends. You were in great company when you were with him. Rich's greatest love was that of his life partner Cheryl. For 20 years they were inseparable. Creating a love story deeper than themselves.

Richard is survived by his, three sons, John (Laureen) Kennedy, Richard John Kennedy II, and Dameion (Scott) Kennedy; daughter, Shannon Kennedy; step-daughter, Elizabeth Teson; four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren along with a host of other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his life partner, Cheryl Titus; father, Jack Kennedy; mother, Dorothy Gutermuth.

A Celebration of life in Rich's honor will be held on June 1, 2024 at Klondike Park~ Shelter #1 from 1-4pm.
