Richard Kent Luecking, age 76, of Chesterfield, Missouri passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 13, 1944 to Walter and Mary Helen Luecking (nee O'Gorman).
Kent was known by many for his intelligence, kindness, and Irish wit. He graduated from the University of Austin Texas in 1966 with degrees in philosophy and mathematics. While young he travelled throughout both Europe and Mexico. Throughout his life he was an avid reader and a talented writer. Above all else, he loved his friends and family and found peace in prayer.
Kent is survived by his daughter, Victoria H. Luecking; his sister, Sandy Dutton; and Victoria's mother, Lenetta Luecking. He will be missed by many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mary Helen Luecking.
A private graveside service will take place at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Affton, Missouri.
