Richard E. Parr

Richard E. Parr, age 88, of St. Peters, Missouri passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 14, 1935 to James and Anna Parr (nee Betlach).

Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Nona Parr (nee Edinger); loving children, Cheryl (Stephen) Rensner and Tim (Angie) Parr; treasured grandchildren, Jen Frick, Michelle (Micah) Borcherding, Tyler (Beatrix) Parr, and Jeremy (Kaylee) Parr; cherished great-grandchildren, Ella Frick, Lillie Frick, Morgan Frick, Samuel Borcherding, Hannah Borcherding, Rachel Borcherding, Sarah Borcherding, Leah Borcherding, and Bennet Parr. Also survived by sister-in-law Pat Kroehnke, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, James B. Parr; mother, Anna Parr; brothers, Bob (Celeste) Parr and Don (Joan) Parr; sister-in-law, Harty Schroeder; and several nieces and nephews.

Rich was made a child of God through Baptism on November 3, 1935, and confirmed his faith through the Rite of Confirmation on August 15, 1965. Rich proudly served his country in the United States Army in the Third Armored Division. He had many stories about his adventures in the tank division. Since beginning his family with Nona, the joy of his life has been his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They always brought a smile to his face even to his last day. He enjoyed bowling and fishing in his free time. He was a man of few words but had a tremendous amount of love to share. He will be missed by all who were touched by his life.
