Rita Anne Mueller, age 80, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. She was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on July 29, 1941 to Lyman and Evia Harris (nee Owens ).
Rita is survived by her husband Richard Mueller; daughters Leann (Travis) Nicholson and Dee Dee (Kent) Haislip; step-sons Rick (Karen) Mueller, Dan Mueller, and Ryan (Kelly) Mueller; sister Sherry (Sonny) Alt; grandchildren Amelia (Tim) Kuehner, Laura Lenz, Sarah Lenz, Gillian Nicholson, and Aidan Nicholson; and great-granddaughter Aubrey Kuehner.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lyman Harris and Evia Feldmeier; and son Nicholas Haferkamp;
Rita was a beloved wife, mother, step-mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She loved crafting and painting, and she and her husband also loved gardening and raising butterflies. They enjoyed traveling in their RV, taking trips to Gulf Shores, AL and Biloxi, MS to visit the casinos. Happy Hour was one of her favorite times of day, especially if she had a Manhattan in her hand. Time spent with family was cherished most of all, her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. Rita was also a very spiritual woman, she had accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior, and her family is comforted knowing she is resting at Peace in Heaven.
