Rita V. Stock

Rita V. Stock, a cherished matriarch and devoted member of her community, peacefully departed this world on November 29, 2024, in Arnold, Missouri, at the age of 86. Born on January 10, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan, Rita lived a life filled with love, faith, and family.

As a steadfast Jehovah's Witness, Rita was deeply devoted to her religious beliefs, demonstrating an unwavering commitment that inspired those around her. Her quiet strength and wisdom became a guiding light for many, as she approached life's challenges with grace and determination. Rita had a playful spirit that shone through in moments of silliness, reminding her loved ones of the joy and laughter that life can bring.

A proud mother and grandmother, Rita found immense pleasure in spending time with her family, particularly her beloved grandson, Tyler. Her role as a grandmother brought her boundless happiness, and her nurturing heart left a lasting imprint on the lives she touched. Rita was also known for her creative talents, frequently delighting friends and family with her handmade cards crafted with love. Her culinary skills were exceptional; her three-layer chocolate cakes, a family favorite, were a testament to her ability to bring sweetness into the lives of those she loved.

Rita is survived by her loving daughters, Theresa Cornell and Sarah (Jason) Baker, who carry forward her legacy of strength and compassion. She was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother to Tyler (Ki'ana) Kyle and their son, Michael, and Krystal Floyd and her daughter, who brought her immense joy and pride.

She now joins her dear parents, Frank and Mary Dobson; her son, Robert Floyd; her daughter, Ashley Stock; and her brother, Edward Dobson, in eternal rest.

Rita's life was a testament to devotion, both in her faith and in her relationships. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever be treasured by all who knew her. A life beautifully lived and a heart deeply loved will remain in our memories and stories, echoing the cherished moments we shared with her. As we grieve her passing, we celebrate her remarkable spirit and the profound impact she made in our lives.
