Robert E. Meyers

Robert (Bob) E. Meyers (90) of Lake St. Louis, Missouri passed away on November 22, 2023, at St. Luke's Hospital with his devoted wife Pat by his side.

Bob's legacy is his large and loving family. In addition to being survived by his wife Patricia Ann (O'Neill) of 68 years, he leaves behind his five children and their spouses: Bobby (Jani), Ronnie (Leah), Susie Penn, Rusty (Lori), and Kelly (Greg) Peace. Bob took immense pride in his 11 grandchildren, as well as 15 great-grandchildren.

Bob was a bottle maker, shift supervisor and foreman at Owens-Illinois Glassworks, Brockway Glass, and Anchor Hocking, and was a consultant for Middle East Glass in Egypt.

A versatile athlete himself, he enjoyed teaching, watching, and recording his family in a variety of sports and activities, and was an avid fan of several professional sports teams. Bob was also well-read, particularly history, astronomy, the works of Stephen Hawking, and The Bible.

Born in Plainview, Illinois, Bob is preceded in death by his parents Elmo and Helen (Rosentreter) Meyers, and brother Gary. He is also survived by his brothers Elmo (Jr.), Don and Stan, sister Judy, and many nieces and nephews.

Bob will be greatly missed by his family, as well as the many who enjoyed his love and laughter throughout his 90 years of a life well-lived.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376.
