Robert Cavitt Hawkins 81, of St. Peters Missouri passed away on Friday, December 11th, 2020. He was born in Rector, Arkansas on July 14th, 1939 to Beatrice Dowdy-Smith and Joe Harold Hawkins.
Robert was a brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and husband. He found joy attending school concerts, church plays and other activities his grandchildren or great-grandchildren were involved in. Robert was committed to family and traditions including returning to Arkansas yearly to celebrate Decoration day with his sisters.
Robert was survived by his wife, Jeanette Hawkins; daughters, Pattiann Hawkins, and Pamela Hawkins (Richard Arnett); grandchildren, Carrie Maddox, DJ Matthews, Zachary Matthews, Katherine Matthews, Jacob Arnett, Shelby Arnett and Hannah Hawkins; dearest friend, Vera Maddox; and son in law, Christopher Matthews; his great-grandchildren, Melody Matthews, Sebastian Bakiev, Holden Matthews and Willow Matthews; his sisters, Christa Gill, Linda Ward, Gwen Cooper, Mary Sue Mckeen, Sherry Tomlin; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Peggy Hawkins; his brothers, David Smith, Tommy Smith and Phillip Hawkins; and brother in law, Tony Wescott.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday December 16th, 2020 at Newcomer Cremation Funerals and Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive St. Peters MO, 63376. (636-875-1200). A private family service will take place on Thursday, December 17th, 2020.
