Robert Lee McBee was born on November 7, 1938 in Greenwood, MS to the union of Norris and Deara McBee. He was the sixth child out of 13 children. His parents, wife: Joyce, two sisters: Virginia and Deara and seven brothers: Leroy, Emerson, Allen, Norris Jr., Tommie, Norman, Henry and a grandson: Gary Lorenzo preceded him in death. The sun also set on his daughter, Martha Mae, following Robert's departure on September 30, 2016.
Robert left Mississippi at an early age to pursue a better life. This journey started in Memphis where he met his first wife Lorene and to this union four children were born. He later settled in Flint, MI where he became gainfully employed with General Motors for 32 years until he retired and met his third wife, Joyce, and her four children. He was also united with Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Usher ministry.
Robert loved music, especially blues, comedy and movies. He was known for having a good time and making others laugh.
Lasting and precious memories left to cherish by his children: Robert Earl (Shirley), Mark (Cheryl), Sharon Fleming (Gary), Marvin; Four bonus children, Seven grandchildren: Kanesha, Courtney, Tamesha, Lesean, Mark jr., Joshua, Vanesia, One brother: Elmore(Alberta), Two sisters: Clara Fowler(Otha), Dorothy Brown and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri with Pastor Lamon Varner officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am Saturday until service time at Newcomer Funeral Home.
