Robert Eugene Lane

Robert Eugene Lane, age 80, of St Charles, Missouri, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, October 16, 2018.
Robert or Bob as he was called, was born in St Louis, Missouri, on Monday, June 13, 1938, to Harvey and Catherine Lane. He was 6lbs, 12oz and 21 inches long.
Growing up he had a keen interest in cars. In his high school year book his friends commented on his great parties and called him "The Car Guy".
Bob worked for Ameren UE for 37 years, starting in 1966 and giving his time to the Lion's Club.
In September of 1972 he met the love of his life, Dolores, while tending bar in her uncle's tavern. They were married for 45 years.
Bob is survived by his devoted wife Dolores Lane, his beloved children: Christine Tipton and James Lane, his handsome and beautiful grandchildren: Chase Tipton, Katelyn Tipton, Jonathan Tipton, Grace Tipton and Joseph Lane, his cherished sister, Peggy Gould as well as many more family and friends.
Though Bob was often a man of few words, he held in his heart the appreciation for the kindness and love of those around him and would want you to know that he felt that for you as well.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 4:00 ~ 8:00PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr. St Peters, MO. Funeral Mass will be Monday, October 22, 2018 at 10:00AM at St Joseph Catholic Church, Cottleville, MO.
