Rodger Dale Nelson, age 73, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023 in Saint Charles, Missouri. He was born in St. Charles, Missouri on June 18, 1949 to Orville and Ila Nelson (nee Hastie).
Dale was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. His pride and joy were his grandchildren and his family. He spent his free time playing softball, fishing, and hunting.
Rodger is survived by his wife, Phyllis; two sons, Rodger Nelson, Jr., Brian Nelson; Daughter, Kimberly (Daniel) Coffey; ten grandchildren, Nichole (Aaron) Cody, Rodger "Trey" (Brandi) Nelson, Devon Nelson, Dylan Nelson, Brittney Nelson, Brianna Nelson, Brian Nelson, Jr., Alyssa Coffey, Aaron Coffey, Brooke Coffey; ten great-grandchildren, Saylor, Parker, Dayton, Clayton, Gwendylan, Oliver, Kylo, Chandler, Oaklynn, and Zayden; brother, Rocky Nelson, Sr.; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandchild, Austin Coffey; five Sisters, Doris Ann Nelson, Betty Foust, Margaret Forney, Catherine Creech, Genivive Nelson; four brothers, Joe Nelson, Dennis Nelson, Mike Nelson, Sr., Kevin Nelson.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Monday, March 20, 2023 with Memorial Service following at 6:00 pm at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376.
