St. Charles, Missouri

It is with a heavy but thankful hearts, that we announce the promotion of Rodney Earl Medaris to the presence of our Heavenly Father. Rod born 3/21/1947 in Bement Illinois, passed away surrounded by his family on Christmas Day 2024 in St. Peters Missouri. 

He was survived by his wife, married in Warrensburg Illinois 6/7/1969, Marilyn“Jeanie” Medaris,his 5 children and their spouses: Stacey Clements (Bruce Clements), Christyn McFarland (Stephen McFarland), Guy Medaris (Dana Medaris), Samuel Medaris (Rachel Medaris) and Abraham Medaris (Gail Medaris). He was also survived by his 24 grandchildren: Brandon Evans-Clements (Masyn Evans-Clements), Megan O’Rear (Ryan O’Rear), Brett Clements (Hisako Clements), Ephraim McFarland (Cayla McFarland), Brock Clements (Annalicia Clements), Abigail Smith (John Smith), Abel Medaris, Timothy McFarland (Gabriella McFarland), Daniel Medaris, Olivia Burzynski (Lukas Burzynski), Bryce Clements, Anna Belle Medaris, Chava Medaris, Guy Deacon Medaris, Evelyn Medaris, Nehemiah Medaris, Caleb Medaris, Rowen Medaris, Ben Medaris, Reed Medaris, Virgilius Medaris, Penelope Medaris, John Jared Medaris, Willa Eve Medaris; and by his 10 great grandchildren: Millie Evans-Clements, Everett Smith, Molly McFarland, Regan O’Rear, August Clements, Fletcher Evans-Clements, Lainey O’Rear, Roman “Cass” Clements, Ruth McFarland and Cohen Smith. 

Rod forged a legacy of faith and family before all else. His greatest treasure was in knowing that every one he met had an opportunity to know Jesus, and to hear the gospel clearly. His family never doubted that he loved them, and were blessed to have a clear reflection of our heavenly Father’s love. While we are sad to be apart, we are happy he is with Jesus and know that we will see him again. 

A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, January 3, 2025 at Life Church - St. Peters, 8134 Mexico Road, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. A visitation will begin at 4pm, with a service to follow at 6pm. 

Memorial contributions in Rod's honor may be made to Anchor House Angels, 16995 Hwy M, Warrenton, Missouri 63383.
