Romeo "Ike" Pineda, 61, of O'Fallon, Missouri, passed away on October 3rd, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born to parents Nicolas and Fausta Pineda, on June 14, 1960 in Manila, Philippines. Romeo attended San Sebastian College and earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Marketing. At the age of 22, he came to the United States with his brother in search of the American dream. Romeo married Karen, the love of his life, in 1992 and held a 33-year career in accounting for the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
Romeo was an avid Cardinal baseball fan and always had an admiration for cars. He enjoyed cooking, working out at the gym, listening to music and playing the guitar. He was a family man and treasured spending time with his two grandchildren. His love for the beach and seafood brought he and Karen to Florida year after year.
Romeo was preceded in death by parents Nicolas Pangilinan Pineda and Fausta Ocampo Pineda, brother Oscar (Dorie) Pineda, and daughter Jessica Pineda.
Romeo was a beloved husband, dad, lolo, son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen; daughter's Lisa (Walter) Lopez, Laura Pineda; son Chris (Stephanie) Pineda; two beautiful grandchildren, Logan and Riley; sisters Julie (Joe) Lim, Feli Pineda, Rori (Darius) Mendoza, Carmen (Joe) Juco, Zeny (Totoy) Pilande; brothers Mario (Sally) Pineda, Hector (Emily) Pineda, Robert (Jane) Pineda; many nieces and nephews; brother-in-law Bob Lopez; and sister-in-law Elaine (Jackie) Lopez.
In lieu of sending flowers, the family would appreciate donations in support of suicide prevention to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
