Ronald R. Barker

Ronald Barker, age 80, of Foristell, Missouri passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021. He was born in Fredericktown, Missouri on April 22, 1941 to Horace and Orlas Barker (nee Edrington).

Ron was married to his loving wife, Karen, for 34 wonderful years. Ron loved his family most of all. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa of all generations, brother, and uncle. Ron loved to help people and volunteered for many events and organizations. Ron loved to dance, cook, travel, camp, photography, and going to the movies. He enjoyed the arts, theatre, and playing instruments. Ron had a passionate flare for all things life and, after surviving colon cancer, he enthusiastically lived life to the fullest.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Karen Barker; daughter, Angel (Craig) Dodson; daughter, Chantel Dawson; step-daughter, Tracy (Rick Conoyer) Stevenson; step-son, Eric (Carrie) Stevenson; step-son, David (Shannon) Stevenson; grandson, Creighton (Alexandria) Staude; grandson, Zachary (Brittany) Stevenson; grandson, Ryan Keller; grandson, Tyson Stevenson; grandson, Riley Stevenson; granddaughter, Kenna Stevenson; grandson, Drake Stevenson; grandson, Chris (Fallon) Dodson; brother, Terry (Martha) Barker; brother, Ed (Eva) Barker; brother, Richard (Linda) Barker; great-granddaughter, Kenlee Staude; great-granddaughter, Addilyn Staude; great-grandson, Lukas Dodson; great-grandson, Zakary Dodson; and many more extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Orlas Barker; and grandson, Joshua Dodson.

Visitation will be held at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376 on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm with the funeral service immediately following at 6:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dementia Society of America or to the Colorectal Research Foundation.
