Ronald Richard Mindak of Louisville, KY gained his wings on Thursday, February 13, 2025 with his immediate family by his side. Ron was born October 31, 1947 in St Louis, MO, the second son of seven children to the late Richard and Genevieve Mindak. Ron bravely served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam war. He gained great enjoyment from the annual military reunions with his fellow soldiers in the 46th Engineers. Ron was a friend to many and will be dearly missed. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that might need it. He was quick with a smile, had a tremendous wit and loved to tell stories over a glass of bourbon or two. To know Ron, was to love Ron.
Ron was preceded in death by his brothers, Glen and John.
Ron is survived by his wife of 55 years, Cheryl Mindak; children Angela (Kent) Berkbuegler and James (Kym) Mindak; four grandsons, Kenneth, Antwain, Jacob and Luke; siblings, Denis (Katie) Mindak, Randy (Chris) Mindak, Valerie Weber and Ricky (Connie) Mindak; and a host of relatives and friends.
