Rosemarie Riti, lovingly known as "Rody," was born on July 6, 1946, in St. Louis, Missouri. She brought warmth and joy to the world and to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Rody passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025, in O'Fallon, Missouri, leaving behind a legacy imbued with kindness and a radiant spirit.
A proud graduate of Riverview Gardens High School, class of 1964, Rosemarie's educational journey was only the beginning. Throughout her life, she was a shining example of positivity; her infectious smile could brighten the darkest of days. Rody was known for her kind-heartedness, love for others, and her quick wit, which endeared her to so many.
Rody had a passion for reading, especially her daily devotionals and crime thriller novels. She enjoyed basking in the sunshine, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her love for the St. Louis Cardinals was undeniable, particularly when they were experiencing a winning season. She also enjoyed watching her favorite TV shows such as Blue Bloods and Everybody Loves Raymond. These moments of joy and love reflect the warmth she shared with those around her.
Rosemarie is survived by her son, Douglass Joseph Riti, whose life she filled with love and support. She cherished her role as a grandmother to two wonderful grandchildren, Joseph Douglass (Isabelle) Riti and Joshua Christopher Riti, who were her pride and joy. Rody is also survived by her two beloved siblings, Donna Jean (Edward Lee) Lewandoski and Margaret R. (Jerome) Wasser, along with countless other family members and friends who will forever hold her memory dear.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Leo Dominick Riti, her mother, Margaret Broderick, her father, Robert Joseph Broderick, and her cherished daughter, Tina Marie Riti. Each of these losses left a deep mark on Rody's heart, yet through it all, she remained a beacon of light to her loved ones.
