Rosemary Mitchell

Rosemary Julie Mitchell, age 81, of O Fallon, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 in O Fallon, Missouri. She was born in Salem, Massachusetts on December 27, 1942 to Arthur and Charlotte Jalbert (nee Ronan). 

Rosemary also affectionately known to most as Nanny, was an amazing woman. She was strong, independent, yet very kind, loving, funny, and generous.

Rosemary cherished her family and life long friends. She made each one of the feel special and loved; she made many wonderful memories with them. 

She enjoyed relaxing at home, watching the Hallmark channel, doing her crossword puzzles, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and pets.

Nanny passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She knew the good Lord was there to guide the way. The entire family wants to say thank you to Brinleigh, Mercedes, and Paige; great-granddaughters. They showed incredible compassion and selflessness during this difficult time.

Until we meet again...forever in our hearts you will be!

Rosemary is survived by her Children, Richard Lawrence (Karen) Mitchell Jr., Julie Marie (Al Walls) Underwood, Michael Shawn (Jill) Mitchell; 11 Grandchildren; 23 Great-Grandchildren; Three Brothers, Arthur Jalbert, Richard Jalbert, Donald Jalbert; Sister, Donna Torres; 3 Nieces; 2 Nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Arthur C. Jalbert; Mother, Charlotte M. Jalbert; Daughter, Danielle Ashley Mitchell. 

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
