Ernest "Roy" LeRoy Andren, age 93, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023 in Brentwood, Missouri. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 28, 1930 to E. Adolph and Edith Andren (nee Carlsberg).
Roy's life was all about family, friendships and his love of travel. Roy was married to his sweetheart, Nancy, for 68 years before she passed away. They shared a wonderful life together, raising 4 children and being very involved grandparents. Roy's love of travel began early in life, visiting many national parks with his great aunts. Roy was a natural athlete and enjoyed basketball, 16" softball, snow skiing and racketball - he would surprise many younger athletes with his abilities. Roy also enjoyed photography and loved taking pictures of people and places in their natural habitats - he had a wonderful eye behind the camera. Roy had a very caring personality and never met a stranger - he would go out of his way to help others and many long term friendships grew from this. Roy will be greatly missed by many family and friends but the family is at peace that he has been reunited with his Nance.
