Roy Lee Jackson, age 86, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023. He was born in Fagus, Missouri on September 6, 1936 to Ezra and Mabel Jackson (nee Irby).
Roy married Cynthia Jackson (nee Brent) on October 13th, 1956, and they spent 65 wonderful years together before Cynthia's passing in April 2021. Together they raised 6 children, Theresa Barry, Cynthia Jackson, Sharon Mittrucker, Earl Jackson, Janet Jackson, and Scott Jackson, all whom are left to cherish his memory along with 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
He was known to some as a jack of all trades, if it needed fixing he would tinker with it until it was fixed or kept busy making creative things. Roy dedicated over 30 years to General Motors, where he retired in 1987. He was known as 'Catfish' by his coworkers since his love for fishing allowed him to bring in fish to fry. He also loved to travel all across the states and visit different places, as long as he didn't have to fly!
After his retirement, Roy and Cynthia moved to Lake Wappapello, where they resided until 2008, when they returned to St. Peters to be closer to family. Roy could always be found outside tending to his vegetable garden or jumping in the car to find a good garage sale.
Roy is survived by his daughters, Theresa (Jack) Barry, Cynthia Jackson, Sharon Mittrucker, and Janet Jackson; his sons, Earl Jackson, Scott Jackson; many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ezra Jackson; his mother, Mabel Jackson; and his wife, Cynthia Jackson;
