Ruth Frances Koester

Ruth Frances Koester, age 90, of O'Fallon, Missouri passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 in O'Fallon, Missouri. She was born in St. Louis City, Missouri on April 22, 1927 to Walter and Marie Berwanger (nee Wilken), and was married to Frank Koester, who passed away July 24, 2010.

Ruth was a loving mother to her children Steven D. (Barbara) Koester of Saint Charles, MO, Deborah M. Ashabranner of O'Fallon, MO, and Sharon A. (Don) Wagner of Wentzville, MO, beloved grandmother to Susan Ragan, Michael Knapp, Scott (Taya) Knapp, Christopher (Andrea) Koester, Laura (Matt Jost) Koester, Kelly (Mark) Wetzel, Keith Ashabranner, Sarah (Eli) Murillo, Daniel (Samantha) Wagner, Lauren (Tim) Herman and Kristen( Aaron) Schlipman, great-grandmother to 19 and great-great-grandmother to six and Mother-in-law to Lynn Koester.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Michael Koester and Sisters, Marie Musgrove and LaVerne Wiethuchter.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 25, 2017, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial Services will be 11:00 am Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 1:15 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
