Ruth Esther Marchand, age 86, of St Peters, Missouri passed away on February 26, 2018. She was born on December 18, 1931, in Marietta, Pennsylvania. Ruth was the daughter of Harry and Ruth (Waller) Druck. She married Henri Paul Marchand in Marietta, Pennsylvania on September 5, 1953.
Ruth was a homemaker and mother resulting in a beautiful family legacy. She was a faithful member of Bethany Peace United Church of Christ where she sang in the church choir for decades and was a frequent soloist.
Ruth always had a twinkle in her eye and a warm, infectious smile to all she met. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan and enjoyed attending The Muny, along with her daughter Ty and friends, for over twenty years. Ruth was a cat lover and always had her feline friends around to keep her company. Ruth loved to play games, especially Dominoes, Phase 10, and various board games with her family and friends. She was also known to collect anything that had to do with "lobsters" up to and including indulging in the crustaceans for dinner. However, with all of these fun things Ruth did for enjoyment in her life, her real love was for her God and for her loving family.
Ruth is survived by her three loving daughters, Tyanne "Ty" Chappell of St. Charles, Tammy M. Marchand of St. Louis, Tracy A. (John, her "favorite son-in-law") Eschbacher of Alton, IL; four grandchildren, Ryan, Justin (Katie), Cameron (Morgan) Chappell and Madeline Eschbacher and five great-granchildren, Jackson, Austin, Emma, Ellason and Grayson, who all lovingly called her GG. Ruth was also a dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend to countless people, many who called her Mom, right along with her daughters, and her many friends at Brookdale St. Peters Retirement Community, where she resided for the last three years and was lovingly referred to as "Baby Ruth."
Along with her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; her brother, Harry Druck, Jr. and sister, Carole Ann Wagner.
