Salvatore J. Imperiale, born on July 6, 1956 in St. Louis, passed away on March 13, 2020 in St. Peters, Missouri, age 63.
Sam graduated from University CIty High School and then later in life attended St. Charles Community College, where he earned his Associates degree. He then went on to further his education and attended University of Missouri, Saint Louis, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. Thereafter, Sam went on to complete a Master of Fine Arts program at Lindenwood University. Sam worked as a carpenter for 17 years and then later worked in Information Technologies (IT) for St. Charles Community College. Sam faithfully served his country in the United States Marine Corp and then later retired as a Staff Sergeant. He was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church.
Sam enjoyed a stiff drink, Cardinals baseball, old war movies, classic songs, and making a big dinner for his family. Well-spoken and joyfully charismatic, he loved making people laugh and telling long-form stories that revealed truths about his character. Sam didn't care for fancy clothes or cars, just an open bar and a crowd to entertain. Incredibly smart and intricately flawed, Sam did it his way right up until the end.
Survivors include his Wife, Mary; Children, Sharie S. (Brian) Jordan, Jennifer M. Imperiale, Michael J. (Melissa) Imperiale, Rachel D. (Dan) Buffa, Anthony "Tony" J. (Helena) Imperiale, Claudia M. Imperiale; Sister, Julia (the late Larry) Anderson; Grandchildren, including Samantha "Samie" (Jake) Theis, Sabrina Burch, Alex Imperiale, Aiden Imperiale, William Wright, Becca Jordan and Vincent "Vinny" Buffa. Sam was a dear uncle, cousin and friend of so many.
