Scott Johnson

Scott Johnson, age 60, of Florissant, Missouri passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024 in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 6, 1963 to Miller and Dorothy Johnson (nee Derington). He was married to Mary Johnson (nee Swaringin) for 18 years.

Scott was an avid reader. He loved his books, they were his prized possessions. He had an extensive collection, some even dating to the 1500s. Scott's favorite genre were Christian books. He also loved playing his wooden flute. He always found time every day to practice. Another daily devotion was meditation.

Scott is survived by his Wife, Mary Johnson (nee Swaringin); Two Sisters, Diane Scotti, Jeanne (Bill) Schmitt; Niece, Annette Bloomfield; Two Nephews, Greg Schmitt, Douglas Scotti; Sister-in-Law, Juanita (John) Steiner; and a host of other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Miller Pierce Johnson; Mother, Dorothy Lee Johnson; Nephew, Brian Scotti.

Visitation will be Monday, April 1, 2024 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. A funeral ceremony will immediately follow at 7:00pm. Interment will take place the following morning, Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 12:00pm at Parklawn Cemetery. Family and guests will be meeting at Newcomer St. Peters Chapel at 10:30am to process down to the cemetery.
