Scott A. Smith sadly passed away at the young age of 36 on July 7th, 2022 at his apartment in O'Fallon, MO. Scotty was 36 years young. Scotty was loved by all who knew him and touched the lives with his friendship, willingness to help others, his crazy funny personality, and the countless ways he impacted every person in his life. Scotty was an Army Veteran serving as a Scout in the 2nd Squadron, 13th Cavalry Regiment. Scotty completed two deployments overseas, with one of those in Iraq, participating in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Scotty was very protective of his family and friends and to borrow a quote from his close friend, "…he was a real tough guy, but he had a heart of gold, and at the end of the day, he just wanted to love his people and be loved in return." Most would also agree that Scotty was the most charismatic person with a contagious smile and spirit. Scotty leaves behind so many people that loved him, his mother, father, stepfather, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, 7 grandparents, his best friend/support dog Schatzi, and many close friends that he would consider part of the immediate family.
Please join us on July 27th, 2022, for the funeral procession, which will start at BHalls Family Grill located at 3782 Monticello Plaza Drive, O'fallon, Mo. 63304. Scotty's ashes will be delivered to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery where he will receive military honors. Immediately following the service, we will head back to BHalls Family Grill and celebrate the life of Scotty.
