Shawn E. Furlong, age 74, of Wildwood, Missouri passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023. He was born in Herrin, Illinois on February 23, 1949 to Eldon and Ida Furlong (nee Smith).
Shawn is survived by his wife, Vicki Furlong (nee Kaylor); daughter, Tammi (Mark) Wapelhorst; granddaughter, Elizabeth Boedeker; son, Wayne Clark; daughter, Lisa (Nat) Brown; son, Jon (Tabitha) Devlin; nephews, Justin Furlong, and Kyle (Ashley) Furlong; sister-in-law, Debbie Furlong; aunt, Sharon (the late Rob) Hughes; and a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eldon Laverne Furlong; mother, Ida Laverne Furlong; and brother, Keith Furlong.
Shawn was an amateur apiarist, who was passionate about his backyard bee hives. He also loved sailing, hiking, and all outdoor activities. Shawn was an Irishman through and through, and loved his family with all his heart.
