Shelia J Ivory started her life journey April 6, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the first born to the union of Alberts Hudgins and Lorraine Hudgins (Harris). Her Husband, Phillip Ivory Sr., two brothers, Rufus Hudgins and Waynne Hudgins, and two sisters, Louise Mimms and Bobbie Jean Perkins all preceded her in death.
Shelia attended Cote Brilliante Elementary school. She also attended Sumner High school where she was a part of the Rhythmic Dance Club and school choir.
Shelia united in Holy Matrimony with Phillip Ivory Sr. in October of 1983 and together they were blessed with two amazing children, Phillip B Ivory Jr., and Lisa D Ivory.
Shelia was a well-rounded person and worked for many employers throughout her life. She worked for Missouri Department of Family Services in the Child Support Division where she later retired. Shelia enjoyed skating, dancing, writing poetry, singing, and most of all spending time with her family and friends.
Shelia was an excellent and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She had a huge heart and was very supportive. You could always count on her when in need. She will always be remembered for her kind spirit and motherly love. She was the "SHERO" of the family.
Shelia was called home to rest after three years of fighting her battle with cancer. She departed this life to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at the age of 69 at Evalyn's House (Hospice Center).
Shelia leaves to cherish: her son~ Phillip B Ivory Jr; her daughter ~ Lisa D Ivory; her granddaughter~ Lyric Futrell; her special friend ~ Bennie Brock; three sisters ~ Carolyn Hudgins, Patricia Woods- Hudgins, and Valerie Hudgins of St. Louis; one brother ~ Ralph Hudgins (Sharon) of St. Louis; five sisters ~ Dorothy Billings (Arthur), Ollie Williams (Elton), Delores Rucker (Tommy), Joyce Hudgins, and Janet Scott- Hudgins (Curtis) of Michigan; two brothers ~ Albert Hudgins (Peggie) and Greggory Hudgins of Michigan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
