Sheila Walsh Jarasek, Dvm

Sheila Walsh Jarasek, DVM, age 60, of Wildwood, Missouri passed away on August 19, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones.

She was the beloved wife of Paul Jarasek, Sr.; loving mother of Paul Jarasek, Jr. (Catherine Jansch), Laura Jarasek (Michael Swyers), and Benjamin Jarasek; daughter of Colette Walsh and the late Martin Walsh, Jr.; dear sister of Martin Walsh III (Jodi Sampson), Brian (June) Walsh, Raymond (Carol) Walsh, Sr., and Linda (Patrick) Ryan; and cherished aunt of numerous nieces and nephews.

While living in Cincinnati, Ohio, Sheila graduated from Saint Ursula Academy. Sheila's passion for animals, especially horses, led her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Cincinnati as a member of Phi Beta Kappa and continued on to obtain her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University, where she was a member of Alpha Psi Veterinary Fraternity.

She worked as a veterinarian at the Veterinary Group of Chesterfield and was beloved by her clients and colleagues. She was also the owner of Aurora Animal Health.

Sheila was a joyful presence, loved her friends and family, and filled her home with warmth and kindness. She was an example of a woman driven by her purpose and faith in God and has left an imprint on the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
