Shirley Burton

Shirley Burton, age 93, of Chesterfield, Missouri passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2024 in Chesterfield, Missouri. She was born in Moulton, Iowa on March 21, 1931. 

Shirley cherished the time she was able to spend with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed being able to host, cook and entertain. Shirley was a skilled Bridge player and was known on occasion to be competitive. Passing on her late husband Bob's birthday is the true sign she was ready to be back with him.

Shirley is survived by her son, Greg (Sharon Freshwater) Burton; her daughter, Becky (Michael) Andert; her grandchildren, Lexa Burton, Greer Burton, Rachel (Samson) Woodthorp, and Gregory Andert; the Andert children-Carrie Andert Keen (Ella, Brie and Ava) and Russ (Sara) Andert (Eli and Casey); her Friendship Village family; and her sister-in-laws, Sally Fullerton, and Linda Crow. She will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. (Bob) Burton; her father, Orville Fullerton; her mother, Orpha Crow (nee Brown); her brothers, Lee Fullerton, William Fullerton, Charles (Josephine) Fullerton, Tommy Crow, and Larry Crow; and her sister, Betty (Lum) Turner.

A private family service will take place at a later time in Moberly, MO.
