Shirley Fix (August 22, 1961 - December 15, 2021)
She leaves behind her parents, Veronica and Kenneth; siblings Karen, Nancy (Mike), Joyce, and Kenny; nieces and nephews; and a great-niece and great-nephew.
She lived in Frankfurt, Germany for 2 years as a toddler and again for 5 years as a teenager. Shirley received a graduate degree in Elementary Education and recently retired after a long and loving career educating and caring for young children.
Shirley was an avid reader, a lover of jigsaw puzzles, a whiz at Sudoku puzzles, and recently learned to crochet. She was a huge fan of hot air balloons, visiting to watch races in New Mexico and here in Forest Park. She was excited to experience a ride in a balloon in Napa Valley, California.
Her family will miss her big smile and infectious giggle.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to the charity of donor's choice are greatly appreciated.
