Shirley Dale Hesse

Shirley Dale Hesse, age 87, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017 in Saint Peters. She was born in St. Louis , Missouri on July 25, 1929 to Walter and Mary Gorman (nee Stahlman). She married Donald J. Hesse on February 14, 1947 in St. Louis. Shirley was a graduate of University High School in St. Louis where she received the Community Service Award, she loved being a hockey mom, always enjoyed dancing, (especially with her husband), and was a proud member of the Clay Aiken Fan Club.

Survivors include her Children: Minister Candace M. (late Wally) Gudas of Houston, Donald T., (Debbie) Hesse of St. Charles, MO, Christi (Late Kent) Young of Saint Peters, MO, Cindy M. (Paul) Harvey of St. Louis, MO, Sherri M. Sadler of Mason City, IA, Kimberly M. Thurber of Wright City, MO, Tonia V. (David) Angle of Saint Louis, MO and Jeffrey S. O'Connor of St. Peters, MO; a Brother, Cleve (Sharon) Gorman of Cincinnati, OH, plus numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a Daughter, Terrence A. Hesse, and a Brother, Chad Gorman.

A Celebration of Shirley's life will be 7:00 pm Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376 with visitation preceding services from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.

Memorial contributions in Shirley's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
