Shirley May Williams Jacobsen Blume

Shirley May Williams Jacobsen Blume, age 89, of Pagedale, Missouri passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018. She was born on June 15, 1929 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Frank and Lucille (Lomax)Williams.

Shirley attended Wellston High School and Miss Hickeys Business School. In 1950 she married Marvin William Jacobsen. They had three children and lived on Raymond Ave in Pagedale. Shirley worked in several offices and St. Luke's hospital. She also worked at Schwartz Bakery in Olivette. She married Herschel Blume in 1983 after the death of her first husband Marvin. She loved to sew, craft, bake, dance, garden and play the organ. She loved her family and was very proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her later years she learned how to play rummy and bingo. Shirley loved life and would light up a room with her smile.

Shirley is survived by her husband Herschel Blume and her loving children Diana (William) Hachmeister, William Jacobsen, and Peggy (Kevin) Liford McKinley. Cherished grandmother to Stephen Shawn (Sheri) Liford, Marcy Cooper, Justin Liford, Kelly (Ben) Claiborne, Emily (Robert) Gray, and Jennifer Carr McKinley. Adored great-grandmother to Nicholas and Joshua Liford, Brenden and Aiden Cooper, Noah and Ethan King, Wyatt Claiborne, Michael and Kaden Carr. Beloved aunt to Anna Marie Dunn Miller, John Dunn, Christopher Dunn, Michael Williams and Karen Williams Lightfoot Betts.

Shirley was preceded in death by husband, Marvin William Jacobsen, sister Marie Williams Dunn, brother John Franklin Williams, and daughter in law Pam Jacobsen.


Visitation will be held on Friday, November 16th from 9:30-11:30 at Harvester Christian Church. 2950 Kings Xing, St. Peters, MO 63376 Service will follow at 11:30.
