Shirley Pusateri, age 82, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017 in St. Peters, Missouri. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 25, 1934 to Harry and Martha O'Toole (nee Luebke).
Shirley was a graduate of Urseline Academy, a Cashier at National Food Stores for over 30 years, a member of All Saints Catholic Church, and loved being around her family and grandchildren. She married Michael Pusateri on May 16, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri. He preceded her in death on May 24, 2016.
Shirley is survived by her son, Tony (Mary) Pusateri of Chesterfield, MO and daughters, Mary M. (Gary) Schlottach and Christine M. Todd, both of O'Fallon, MO; 12 grandchildren, Melissa, Lauren, Kathleen, Tyler, Abby (Ron), Adam, Victoria, Olivia, Rachel, Mark, Michael and Matt; sisters, Mary (Carl) Specking of St. Charles, MO, Charlotte (John) Roche of Chesterfield, MO and brother, Harry O'Toole of St. Ann, MO. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a brother, Arthur "Bus" Kirn.
Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Saturday March 18, 2017 at All Saints Catholic Church, 7 McMenamy Road, St. Peters, Missouri 63376.
Shirley lived a long and full life surrounded by her family and friends and would much rather help others than service herself. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions should be made to Tiny Superheroes. This organization was chosen in consideration of Shirley's love of children and her passion for sewing.
