Shirley Evelyn Smith

Shirley Evelyn Smith, age 85, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2017 in St. Charles, Missouri. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on January 10, 1932. She was a member at First Baptist Church of Harvester. She married Bernard Smith in St. Louis on February 18, 1950. He preceded her in death on May 5, 2016. She was employed at J C Pennys and Wal Mart during her lifetime.

Shirley is survived by her Daughter, Deborah S. (James) Merriman of Saint Charles, MO; Sons, Michael R. (Marie E.) Smith of Collinsville, IL, and Lloyd H. (Susan) Smith of Collinsville, IL; a Brother, Verlan H. (Ann) Breuer of St. James, MO; Grandchildren, Paul (Melissa) Merriman, Rachel (Matthew) Schoonover, Ruth (Jon) Mills, Nathaniel Smith, and Rebekah Smith; Great-Grandchildren, Lorien, Thalia, Matthew, and Caleb.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Otis Floyd Breuer; Mother, Thelma Loretta Brand; Husband, Bernard Harold Smith; and a Brother, Floyd Breuer.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home, St Peters, MO, beginning at 2:00 pm with the funeral service beginning at 6:00 pm. Interment will be at Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Terry Estes Compassion Ministries, Haiti.
