Shirley Mae Tyree

Shirley Mae Tyree, age 91, of Old Monroe, Missouri passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023 in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 1, 1931 to Thomas Griffith and Lillian Moore (nee Huggins). She was married to Charles Tyree for over 50 years.

Shirley was loved by everyone and she never met a stranger. She enjoyed life and spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Shirley was a member at Grace River Church in O'Fallon, MO. She loved attending church. Shirley was an avid card player. She loved sweets, coffee, and making funny videos with her great-grandkids.

Shirley is survived by her Daughter, Karen (Joe) Lay; Son, Steven (Denia) Tyree; Five Granddaughters, Carra Tilley, Keely (Jason) Manne, Lauren (Lavan) Lee, Leigh Anne (Tim) Hoormann, Carlie (Joey) Mease; Six Great-Granddaughters, Kayla Tilley, Anna Manne, Lillian Manne, Lucy Hoormann, Josie Hoormann, Eloise Lee; Four Great-Grandsons, Nolan Tilley, Mason Tilley, Charles Hoormann, Lincoln Lee; Brother, David Griffith; Sister, Sharon White; Sister-In-Law, Sherry Tyree; Friend, Diana Tilley; and a host of other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Charles Tyree; Father, Thomas D. Griffith; Mother, Lillian Moore; Grandson-In-Law, Chris Tilley; Brother, Tom Griffith; Sister, Darlene Holt; Sister-In-Law, Cathy Griffith; and Two Brother-In-Laws, Donald Tyree and John White.

Funeral Ceremony will be 11:30 am Friday, August 11, 2023 at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until 11:30 am at Newcomer St. Peters Chapel. Interment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery.
