Shirley Vanesler

Shirley Ann Vanesler, age 85, of O Fallon, Missouri passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022 in O Fallon, Missouri. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 1, 1937 to Charles and Ellen O'Keefe (nee Leslie).

Shirley retired from General Motors after working there for 20 plus years. Then she went on to work at St. Louis Auto Auction and retired after being with them for 13 years. Shirley adored spending time with her grandchildren, no matter where they were at. Her entire world revolved around her family, she loved them more than anything.

Shirley is survived by her children, Richard (Debbie) Vanesler, Christopher Vanesler, Penny (Jim Casey) Bishop, Renee Parkerson; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-granchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; and a host of other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ellen O'Keefe; siblings, Betty Stillman, Frances Billington, Edward O'Keefe; and two son-in-laws, William Parkerson and David Bishop.

Funeral Ceremony will be 5:00 pm Monday, November 14, 2022 at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376 . Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at St. Peters Chapel.
