Shon R. Gallagher, age 52, of Cottleville, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 in Cottleville, Missouri. He was born in Bountiful, Utah on May 12, 1969 to Melvin and Janet Gallagher (nee Barthel).
Shon is survived by his Wife, Julia A. Gallagher of Cottleville, MO; Daughter, Madelynn G. (Brandon) Harrington; Daughter, Meghan Gallagher; Son, Kincaid D. (Robin) Gallagher; Daughter, Violet Gallagher; Brother, Michael (Donna) Gallagher; Sister, Kristie (Al) Wheatley; Sister, Michelle Gallagher; Sister, Robyn (Terry) Bagley; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Melvin S. Gallagher; and mother, Janet E. Gallagher.
Shon graduated from Brigham Young University in 1992 with a degree in information systems while starting and providing for his budding family. Over the years he had many different types of hobbies and interests. He was a life long learner, whether it furthered his career or gave him a better understanding of the world. He enjoyed different perspectives and making up his own mind with what he gained. Shon loved photography, 1980s alternative rock music, and sci-fi movies. Recently, he had discovered the great outdoors through new modes of travel.
Namely, his motorized bicycle and scooters. He made it his mission to find innovative new ways to use and have fun with technology.
Shon was an incredible father, teaching his children how to move through the world as adults but also how to have fun and enjoy the simple things. His favorite place in the house was the dinner table because he had a captive audience to share his childhood memories, and family traditions given to him by his mother. He was happiest with all his family around him.
