Sofia Magdalena Torres Durst, age 77, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023 in Saint Charles, Missouri. She was born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico on March 3, 1945 to Isidro and Concepcion Torres (nee De Jesus).
Sofia is survived by her Husband, Henry Durst; Four Daughters, Maria Durst, Magdalena (Jeffrey) Boyd, Susan (Michael) Cooper, Veronica (David) Holden; 8 grandchildren , 5 great grandchildren, a host of other family members and friends.
A talented craftswoman who enjoyed sewing, embroidery, crotchet, and ceramics, Sofia was also an avid reader, who loved classic literature and her bible. A devoted Christian, Sofia attended Lake Charles Bible Chapel.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Isidro and Concepcion Torres and 12 siblings. She is also survived by 5 siblings.
Funeral Ceremony will be 4:00 pm Sunday, February 26, 2023 at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at St. Peters Chapel.
