Stanley Hugh "Mike" Johnson, age 96, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 in Saint Peters, Missouri. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on March 29, 1921 to Leroy and Lucy Johnson (nee Sherman).
He retired as an Inspector at General Motors after 30 years employment. Mike was also a World War II Navy Veteran and 70 year member of the St. Peters American Legion. He enjoyed playing golf, boating, model airplane flying, camping, loved traveling and woodworking. He married the former Doris Iffrig on September 1, 1951 in Randolph County, Arkansas.
Mike is survived by his son, Wayne (Betty Marks) Johnson of Saint Peters, MO, a daughter, Lynn (late Bill) Sievert of Saint Peters, MO, and a daughter, Deborah Kinzie of Sandport, Idaho; four grandchildren, Jason Sievert, Erin (Dave) Dickmeyer, Alicia (Dominic) Masters and Katie Boeckman; and four great-grandchildren, Nolan Dickmeyer and Chevelle, Kash and Savvy Masters and numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a sister, Lydia.
Services are Saturday, August 12, 2017, 10:00 am at Calvary Church, 3998 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376.
Services entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376.
