Stan was born in Fort Benning, Georgia on April 25, 1943, but he was a life long resident of Missouri. He graduated from Eureka High School in 1961 and went on to become a meatcutter for National Grocery Stores, and a member of Meatcutters Local 88.

Stan was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Joseph Sullentrup; and his mother, Laverne Sullentrup-Davis; his brothers Raymond Edward Sullentrup, Frank Davis, and his sisters Cherie Ziegelmeyer, and Debbie Davis.
Stan was "THE MAN". He loved God, his country, and his family. Like his namesake, he loved baseball. He also loved spending time fishing, golfing, and riding his tractor. He was larger than life and lit up the room with his quick wit and smile. Stan was deeply loved by all and will be greatly missed.
