Stephen Roderick Blackhurst, age 71, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 in Saint Charles, Missouri. He was born in St. Charles, Missouri on October 11, 1951 to Stephen and Alma Blackhurst (nee Gillette).
Stephen was a family man that was an avid outdoorsman and faithful member of the church. His love of people, nature, and life motivated him throughout life. He was invested in contributing time and effort into helping his family, church, and church members to thrive. Steve always showed people that they were cared about and loved.
Stephen is survived by his Wife, Janice Blackhurst; Two Sons, Graham (Tammy) Blackhurst, Myles (Lalena) Blackhurst; Grandchild, Jack Blackhurst; Four Sisters, Leonora (Richard) Burkhart, Jo Anne (James) McConaughy, Stevi Frances (Bob) Fuerhoff, Sarah E.B. (Jack) Kavanagh; Brother-In-Law, James Hinrichs; and a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Mother, Alma Blackhurst; Father, Stephen Blackhurst; Sister, Mary Lou Hinrichs.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, 3115 W, 3115 Elm St, St Charles, MO 63301. Funeral Ceremony will be 11:00 am at Good Shepherd United Church of Christ. Interment to be private.
