Stephen Willard Moss, age 75, of Defiance, Missouri passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021 in Defiance, Missouri. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 18, 1945 to Eathern and Carol Moss (nee Stephens).
Steve was married to Harriet for 55 years and they renewed their vows on their 50th wedding anniversary. He enjoyed his time hunting and fishing along with his sons and grandchildren, where he was a mentor for their outdoor skills. He was one of the founders of the Lake of the Ozark Bass Club.
Steve was in the 880th Engineer Battalion of the Army National Guard. He grew up honing his skills in carpentry as he became a master in his craft that led to a 50+ year career.
Steve is survived by his Wife, Harriet Jean Moss of Defiance, MO, Brother, Ronald Moss, Sister, Louise Moss, Brother, Larry (Holly) Moss, Sister, Karen Howell, Sister, Sharon Guthermuth, Daughter, Jeri McDaniel, Son, Stacey (Debbie) Moss, Son, Craig (Susan) Moss and; Grandchildren, Neil, Lucas, Timmy, Kara, Rachel, Ali, Lea, Jake and Anna and a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Eathern and Carol Moss, and Brother-In-Laws Sylvester Guthermuth and Richard Howell.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Interment will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
