Steven Anthony Schnelle, age 63, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021.
He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 29, 1958 to Anthony and Laverne Schnelle (nee Neihaus).
Steve was a Rehabilitation Teacher for the Blind for the State of Missouri. He was a member of the Missouri Council for the Blind, Missouri Guide Dog User, and started his own chapter called St. Louis Northern Lights Council for the Blind.
Steve was appointed on the Disabilities Awareness Commission for both St. Louis County and the City of Florissant.
Steve was a member of The Seconds Band and Timbucktu. Playing and singing were his passion. He also loved the outdoor adventures like kayaking, camping, traveling and beeper ball. He was a true warrior who battled cancer for 18 years. His passion for life and positive support from friends and family saw him through the difficult times.
He was married to Tammie for 23 cherished years and was a very proud father and papa.
Steve is survived by his Wife, Tammie, Daughter, Jennifer (Steve), Daughter, Jessica, Son, Joshua, Son, Jeffery, Granddaughter, Ella, Brother, Dave (Cathy), Niece, Amy (Matt), Nephew, Ben, Nephew, Andy (Stacy) and he will be dearly missed by a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Anthony Schnelle; and Mother, Laverne Schnelle.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations and Funerals in St. Peters.
Memorial Service will be 7:00 pm Saturday, October 9, 2021.
