Steven Robert Pepper, born on October 13, 1969, passed away on October 22, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy that is as rich as the melodies he strummed on his beloved guitar. His life was defined by his passions, which included a deep love for fishing and golfing, pursuits that not only brought him joy but also allowed him countless moments under the sun with friends and family.
Steven was not just a musician; he was a true artist at heart. He played live music and shared his soulful tunes with everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. His guitar was not merely an instrument to him; it was an extension of his spirit, a means through which he connected with others. He never met a stranger, often forging instant friendships with those who were drawn to his contagious smile and easy laughter.
He is survived by loving family who will forever cherish their memories of him. His son, Jackson (Gabrielle) Pepper, carries forward the essence of his father, embodying the values and lessons instilled in him. He is also survived by his parents, Jim and Nelly Pepper, who raised him to be kind and caring and always helping his fellow man in need; Steven’s sister, Michele Carroll, stands as a pillar of strength, holding close the cherished moments they shared. The bond he had with his ex-wife, Brenda Pepper, was one of respect and understanding, transcending the complexities of life. His niece, Natalie Carroll, and nephew, Evan Carroll, will always remember their uncle as a figure of love and support, recounting stories filled with joy and laughter.
Among his circle of loyalty and camaraderie was his best friend, Einstein Pepper, whose friendship was a testament to the lasting connections Steven fostered throughout his life. Alongside them are a host of other family members and friends who will carry his spirit in their hearts, ensuring that his laughter echoes in their memories.
