Steven Jacob Weingartner, age 68, of O'Fallon, Missouri passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022, surrounded by his loving family and fortified with the sacraments of the Holy Catholic Church. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 4, 1954 to Jerome and Agnes(Fuemmeler) Weingartner.
Steven was a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud Pa Pa, and everyone's friend. He had a way with a joke or a story, even if he had told it to you before. Steve loved wiener dogs, a round of golf, the music of the Moody Blues, the promise of a Cardinals or Blues win, a Rams tailgate party, a perfectly barbecued pork steak, and the noisy company of a large family. He leaves these mortal joys for a reunion with friends and family that he has not seen for a long time.
Steven is survived by his wife, Gale Weingartner; children, Jeremy (Andrea) Weingartner, Melissa (Giovanni) Laurenti, Stephanie (John) Wallace, Emily (Daniel) Hurst; six grandchildren, Jack, Annabella, Jonah, Marley, Nico, Callahan; siblings, Dennis (Charlene) Weingartner, Gary (Linda) Weingartner, Diane (Michael) Fitzgerald, Kathy (Rodney) Fitzgerald and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation for friends and family will be Thursday, November 10th from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at St. Peter's Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Mass will be held at Sts. Joachim and Ann Catholic Church 4112 McClay Rd. St. Charles, MO 63304 10:00 am, Friday, November 11th.
