Susan Anne DeWinter, age 72, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 13, 2022. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 12, 1950, to William and Betty Gritton (nee Lowry). She was married to Dale DeWinter for 32 years.
Sue spent many years traveling and enjoying life with her late husband, Dale, before they retired and moved to Lake Ozark, where she continued to work as a property manager for a local company. After her husband passed, she came back to St. Charles to live with her son and daughter-in-law. She was a cancer patient who amazed everyone around her with her strength, even baffling doctors and nurses. If you didn't know she had it, you wouldn't know, because she didn't complain. She was a beacon of strength and dignity for everyone around her. To know her was to love her. Being a huge football fan, she never missed an Ohio State game(GO BUCKEYES!) and her enthusiasm could be heard throughout the house. She also enjoyed Reading, Tennis, Yoga, Gardening, Baking, and many more hobbies.
Sue is survived by her Son, David (Samantha) Mohler; Two Step-Daughters, Andrea (John) Hawkins, Michelle (Mark) Wingfield; Grandchildren, Sarah, Carolyn (Justin), Chelsea (Tony), Kaitlyn (Adalberto), Cameron, Morgan (Brian), Logan, Nick, Savanna and Paige; Great Grandchildren, Finley, Abraham, Diego, Eloise, Raeven, Mia; Her Siblings, Lynne Gritton, Janet Duncan and Keith Gritton and many other family members and friends who loved her dearly.
